RESEARCH CENTERS

BU-SRM Centre for AI in Health Sciences
SRM Institute of Science and Technology and Binghamton University, State University of New York, USA, offers highly unique, internationally recognized, transdisciplinary learning and research experiences in the field of Systems Science, in both on-campus and online formats. Systems thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills are critically needed in today’s increasingly complex world, for a wide variety of professional and academic workforces.
To improve student experiences, faculty growth and contributions, and the reach of our research, BU forms alliances with top academic and other institutions throughout the world. The success of our global efforts depends on our partnerships with our overseas colleagues.
Our institutional partnerships should reflect our institutional values, including our dedication to excellent research and teaching as well as our operational and financial accountability.

Adhere to this, an establishment of BU-SRM Centre for AI in Health Sciences is formed and BU Professors explained SRM team to understand the health sciences projects/problems in USA. They have arranged a virtual webinar to our SRM students – (Department of Computational Intelligence – School of Computing) about their master’s program in Systems Science, which includes focus areas such as ML/AI, complex systems modelling, network science modelling, and many other application areas.
Three of our SRM medical doctors are helping us in providing domain expertise. The BU/SRM Computing team is doing analytics; build ML/DL models etc. Regarding healthcare collaboration, few topics are identified and the mentors from SRM-CINTEL and Doctors from SRM Hospital are also assigned. This collaboration will enhance the students’ research activities and their career paths. This association supports for Semester Abroad Program, Students Internship, Workshops, Seminar and Others.

Centre of Excellence on AI/DL, HPC, Data Science.
The Center of Excellence in Artificial intelligence (CoE AI) is a Joint collaboration between SRMIST and NVIDIA to cater the research community in various science and engineering applications. This Centre for AI is built on to achieve higher research on Deep-Data Intelligence and Pattern Analysis for Industrial Vision Computing and Communications. This CoE AI enables the research Institute to have the required infrastructure to impart and cater research-oriented outcomes to its research scholars, scientists, and interested research groups in AI practice. The Centre also caters in enabling the Institute to set up a feasible research platform for courses for supporting research professionals who want to attain new solutions in AI research. The research center will enable to offer different platforms, project work, research course works along with hands-on training facilities to its research scholars and scientist, in AI including Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, vision computing, video analytics, Unmanned vehicle simulations and so on.
The Institute can use the AI Lab infrastructure along with the NVIDIA Deep Learning Tool Kit, NVIDIA RAPIDS for Data Science and Analytics and training scientists and scholars for building an independent solution matrix. An exclusive research curriculum is also designed to equip the community from various domains, such that the scholars and researchers have all the required basic foundations to excel at AI. This collaborative research platform is architected in such a way that the Institute can opt for the required minimum technology solution infrastructure along with the bundled Software, Tools, and simulation Kits from NVIDIA. The underlying computer infrastructure solution proposed is modular, scalable, and can be sized to meet the Institutes plans, budgets, student size, technology courses planned etc.

CENTRE FOR AI IN EARTH SCIENCES
SRM Institute of Science and Technology and The University of Alabama in Huntsville, public national university located in Huntsville, AL, USA, offers highly unique, internationally recognized, transdisciplinary learning and research experiences in the field of Systems Science, in both on-campus and online formats. Systems thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills are critically needed in today’s increasingly complex world, for a wide variety of professional and academic workforces.
To improve student experiences, faculty growth and contributions, and the reach of our research, UAH forms alliances with top academic and other institutions throughout the world. The success of our global efforts depends on our partnerships with our overseas colleagues.
Our institutional partnerships should reflect our institutional values, including our dedication to excellent research and teaching as well as our operational and financial accountability.
Centre for AI in Earth Sciences is to make multiple projects with Earth Science, with the help of UAH. We start to work with NASA project and their requirements.
Right now, our 7 different teams start work with cyclone, cloud street, smoke related project.
